Like a degree in theater and mass communication is any better. Those are what journalists major in to get into the news broadcasting or into acting.
There are like 15 black actress getting regular work in Hollywood, and nobody gets regular work on Broadway. Journalism has no specific job market, might have to find work in Alaska or Idaho you never know, you not just gonna check the local job listings and find an open broadcast position. If you're willing settle for less glamorous uses of those majors you will essentially just be a stage hand or a assistant that fetches coffee. which don't require a masters but you may at least be able to work your way up. That usually ends up in career completey unrelated to the major though.
