Why won't Houston trade Asik?!?

isn't his contract structured so that the cap hit on him is only like $8M a season tho? that's a much more acceptable pill to swallow as a potential suitor for asik.

what is aldridge's situation in portland? i know/read that chicago was one of the places he allegedly wanted to go but that chi mgt ultimately wasn't about that life if it meant giving up noah.
i thought it was gonna be dwight and jsmoove in htown but ultimately i'm glad it didnt work out as the spacing would've been terrible and josh isn't always all there in the head.. and ultimately it will be that pf position that'll determine how far houston can go. if they can have a bball savy stretch 4, then they can look kinda '09 or '10 orlando magic'ish
but if they can somehow flip asik for aldridge, then thats just a talented as hell team right there period, with

Asik is a good a defender and rebounder and he can clean up some misses but that dude is offensively challenged. I watched him miss bunnies all year, not a great finisher. Why I wouldn't want him or howard playing together is that dwight really needs to operate down low by himself to do anything since he has no post moves. Asik doesnt spread the floor or create space. Having to big men down low together with below average offensive skills is a no go.

Bosh is probably the best big man to place next to Dwight in today's NBA...and no we wouldn't trade him for Asik...saw that stupidity on another board

If houston got aldridge to play with dwight they'd be a serious problem
no. hes not agile enough or quick enough with his feet to play the 4. hed get abused
Paul and Dwight already showed us what they can do together
Only difference is they won't be playin wit a broken down 35 yr-old SG who takes all the shots..
Don't they still have Patrick Patterson? The N.O. trade is the only legit one, N.O. gets the center they need, and Houston got a PF to help with the spacing
I think Anderson is the best to match with him strictly because he's a better shooter. That 4 out 1 in is what got the Magic to the finals that year, with the fact that Harden is better than probably the other 3 starters the magic put out that year.
Asik is a better player then Howard.
