Our cap situation wouldn't let us go after Cousins.. We've got too much young talent to resign.. They'd rather be able to either pay a rookie or an average game manager QB and have a team around him supremely talented than blow everything on qb..

I agree with the Bridgewater talk but they don't want to bring in a qb competition.. They'd rather give Bortles all the confidence they can

bridgewater isn't enough of an upgrade for jacksonville to give up trade assets :yeshrug:

a few different teams coulda/shoulda signed him in the offseason for cheap.

but they didn't and now it's too late

marrone probably would've played the afc championship game the same exact way with teddy. you guys are acting like he would've let teddy air that shyt out. :heh:

that's just how some coaches are.

remember john fox having peyton kneel to send that playoff game into overtime? :mindblown:

That was more on Peyton l. Fox knew Peyton arm was strong enough to push the ball down the field in the snow

Yes he is.

What Ive been most impressed by him in his shorttime hes been in NY is ability to disect defenses pre snap. He either audibles or quickly recognizes what defenses are trying to do to him.

Saying he wouldnt be a huge upgrade is :mjlol:

This is where you are right. I’d only sign him if he immediately agrees to a two year deal with the Jags. Only way the Jags could be comfortable giving up assets

that was my point :manny:

jags cap sitiuation is looking fukked. right now, a 2 year deal right off the bat doesn't really make sense for either side.

throwing draft capital + money at bridgewater.. essentially gambling on his health based on a few preseason quarters against backups..

that's a tough sell.

if bortles goes down though.. all bets are off.

A 4th or 5th rounder

If they want longer term a 2nd rounder.

Blake is not the future and they have to see this. Is it ego, pride that is blinding management?

Hell they couldve had garropolo, lamar jackson, eli manning etc. but they stick with Blake Bortles
