Im getting ethered cause its a geno smith stan in here who is posting single plays to show he isnt mediocre?! :mjlol:

since you a Eagles fan and you're caping too, hopefully the Eagles release Wentz and Foltz and pick up Geno
Im a stan for saying he didnt have a chance like you stated?

Where is that chance?

Its clear as day you dont know shyt about teams and players you dont watch besides numbers whoring.

Its not a single play. Clyde Gates entire NFL career is subpar play. Stephen hill entire career is subpar play. :mjlol:

Geno numbers have improved every year in spite of being around trash. You cant even examine those players because.....

Every QB has garbage time stats at times. Drew Brees (who many anoint as a top qb of all time) had 3 straight 5000 yard garbage time seasons

Was just about to post this. I won my fantasy league because bortles was the best gsrbage time qb in the league. Jags was literally getting blown the fuk out every game and this is when he got those tds.

Hell that season got they coach fired cuz they was so trash. But yet bortles still there.

They didnt even draft a qb in the deept qb draft in years. They passed on lamar jackson

There's a difference between being given a legitimate chance and being given a "chance" like Geno, Keizer, EJ, crappy teams, crappy coaches, crappy organizations. Now if I look at guys like Joe Flacco, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Carson Palmer, Alex Smith, Bortles is about to fall into this category. Chance after chance after chance. Maybe they had bad teams, but they were given plenty of mulligans and a guy like Alex Smith got enough chances to where he ended up becoming a respectable QB.

But black QB's get 1 half ass "chance" at most and if they don't beat the high, unreasonable standards, they are tossed to the bushes.

Osweiler, Keenum, Mike Glennon....Too many mediocre QB's getting multiple opportunities.

https://deadspin.com/the-details-of-teddy-bridgewaters-knee-surgery-are-grue-1828520620

"“But it’s certainly the worst knee dislocation in sports I’ve ever seen without having a nerve or vessel injury,” Cooper said. “It’s an injury that about 20-25 percent of NFL players are able to come back from. ... It’s a horrific injury. You’ve torn every single thing in your knee and it’s hanging on by one ligament on one side like a hinge."

GotDAMN!!! :damn::damn::damn:

1.)Alex smith and Carson palmer were the first picks in the draft though. It’s kind of disingenuous to compare them to second round picks like Geno smith and DeShone Kizer in terms of “chances”. Joe Flacco is a first round draft pick and super bowl mvp

2.) How are we defining “chance”? If a guy is signed to be a back up or 3rd string and the guys in front of him get hurt/suspended leading him to play is that a “chance?” Because that’s essentially been Fitzpatrick’s career outside of buffalo. There the only team that gave him a long term deal and said “you’re my guy.” Everywhere else the guy in front of him something happened and he got an opportunity.

They made some curious decisions that will come back to bite them if they don't get to a SB.

If you're in the AFCCG, up 10 and you don't trust your QB to make throws against a loaded box, you need a new QB. Not only did they not replace Bortles, they gave him an extension :dwillhuh:

That team has a lot of talent and is in a pretty easy division to win. They need to be careful of how many opportunities they squander

A perfect example is ej manuel.

Dude was given one season. Where is he now? Fitzpatrick was guven multiple chances. Ej aint no thug, no loud mouth, doesnt draw attention like baker mayfield. Ej would be considered a good guy.

Still doesnt get a second chance.

Tyrod taylor was actually playing decent in buffalo last year. He was benched for no reason for nathan petermann.

I’m not even a Carson fan, but it’s hella disrespectful to put him in the same category as Bortles. :dwillhuh:

EJ never showed anything. In college he was a one side of the field qb

Give it 4-5 games they prob will

If the Jets are smart and Teddy ball out he def will be traded.. I think that’s the plan for the jet they gotta start Teddy day 1 though
Jets came up with that investment :whew:
I don't even think they need to start Teddy tho...his preseason play already got teams around the league on some :leon:

It's known he's ready to ball...probably better to make sure he's absolutely healthy for when they pull the trigger on a trade. :ehh:

When Case Keenum starts fukkin up in Denver...Elway bout to come callin...and the Jets can be fukking :demonic: in those negotiations...he'll have zero leverage :sadcam:

Turn a 1 year $6 mill contract into a top notch backup and a potential 1st round pick :banderas:

The coaching staff didn’t even want him throwing the ball the 2nd half of the game
Breh...they burned clock with almost 2:00 remaining in the 1st half with the ball damn near the 50 yard line :dead:

I couldn't fukking believe what I was seeing :mindblown:

Coaches have ZERO trust in Bortles. No idea why they re-signed him. Nobody else was checkin for him - they were negotiating against their damn selves :dead:

If they were really that desperate at the time they should've just offered him some fukking pennies with like $5 million guaranteed and called it a day :dead:
