Why won't they allow fighting in the NBA but they do in NHL?

Too many players’ “brands” would be negatively affected once people found out about their lack of hands. Better to not fight and keep appearances.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the violence decreased when the money increased
It just doesn't make sense to have stars you invest hundreds of millions into getting fukked up and missing time because of fights and the way revenue sharing and the tv contracts are set up fights would hurt the entire league if there is a serious injury ala Rudy T

True, they spend an immense amount of time working on their skills. There are other sports where guys can really luck into by being in the right place at the right time or the right age when the season starts so are playing with and against peers that benefit them but the NBA isn't one of them.
