I will say this.
I just moved to my own little one bedroom one bathroom apartment in a nice little part of South Fl to be closer to my new joband the bachelor life is great, but I gotta admit bringing my dog with me hasn’t been the easiest decision.
Rushing home from the office to walk my dog, paying for grooming, buying food that is healthy for her and always having to come home right after work so my dog ain’t home alone ALLL day. Smh it’s a lot believe it or not, it’s like having a mini kid.
Idk why people think dogs are easy
Like, no disrespect to you directly. But I’m in college and folks get dogs just cause they want one then they realize shyt takes effort and money and send it away immediately

I agree 100% my man. What makes it even worse is, its not even my dog. It belonged to a family member and I didnt like the way it was being treated so i ended up taking it with me when I moved lol. Now here I am, a grown ass black man walking a shytzu down the street everyday lmao
I'm currently living with a roommate until he closes on his house.
Of course he brought his 90lb English mastiff/pit bull with him.
I love animals. I mean love them. Always have...
But I've also embraced the reality that I am a psychotic neat freak.
So dealing with a dog has been...not as bad as I thought.
I have nice furniture so I had to have the talk with the homie about u scratch or break and u replace.
Other than that tho, I have couch covers and quilts. I took my expensive ass comforter set out of his room so he has his own sheets.
Izzie is an amazing well trained dog. She wants to play for 30mins, eat, go outside to shyt and then curl up beside u when ur binge watching Frontier on Netflix. And she is the sweetest thing ever. She will fall asleep in ur lap or at ur feet when we're gaming. She gets crated when we are away and sometimes she just goes and chills there with a chew toy anyway. She never pees or shyts inside. Doesn't chew or destroy shyt.
I only wear lounge clothes in the house instead of outside gear so I don't have dog hair on me wherever I go.
She's not allowed in the kitchen or bathroom.
My place still smells good and is spotless (even our shirts are folded very neatly in three rows and there is a drawer for everything. Yes I know it's a little crazy. It's funny but part of the reason why I like female housekeeping shyt is not because it's a submissive role but b/c I'm a control freak when it comes to cleanliness and my home.

But yeah she's sweet and affectionate and so far it isn't driving me batshyt crazy so I might get one when he moves out for myself.

I can’t deal with the shedding man. That’s the biggest thing for me. I see people coming to work with fur all over their gear and I’m like smdh. That’s not fly at all.
