We gotta be real though. A lot of the “negative” stories you see about some of the top stars is because the players themselves make it a story. Ja Morant posted the video waving the gun. Anthony Edwards and Zion Williamson’s baby mothers posted on social media about them. Social media makes it easier for stories to get out, especially when the players are “incriminating” themselves.

As soon I saw the media go on that run full of Jordan and Kobe comparisons I knew this was going to be the outcome. Jordan and Kobe have been so immortalized that Ant has to score 30+ every game or hit every game winning shot or else he’s a failure. Basketball media is horrible. And don’t let him lose a series, all that personality they love so much will be used against him.

I saw the play happening too. "Negativity sells" is the truest thing on the planet. Think about the things SAS is known most for and it's negativity and outlandish shyt: Kwame Brown, Jamarcus Russell, players smoking weed, etc. Nothing about this nikka's analysis or journalism, just for low brow takes that anybody with a Twitter account can make.

These shows get the most attention and ratings when they're shytting on people. It's crazy how they'll criticize current players for only caring about money/clout and not enough about the game when they themselves are perfectly fine with damaging the perception of the league so long as they get the money and ratings from tearing folks down.
