It is, and I say this as a former fitbit loyalist. The Apple Watch is better, because the only reason I used to the fitbit was for heartrate tracking, and the charge 5, which has the best tracker of all fitbits, struggles so hard to compete with the Apple Watch. I ponied up and got the Apple Watch. Apple is improving their sleep tracking too, so now I don't see a reason to ever go back.

I can't believe how accurate the Apple watch is too, I use it in conjunction with my polar chest strap and the agreement is damn near 100%, only time I encounter issues is if I don't have the watch on tight enough while doing something intensive in movement.

edit: Only thing I miss about the fitbit was 24/7 heartrate tracking, I'm a bit crazy about that, but the Apple Watch actually toned me down in that regard, since it tracks in intervals, the fitbit could get away with that without wasting battery. Battery on the Apple watch isn't so bad when you realize you don't need the watch 24/7 and you get reminders to charge before sleep.

Also, closing rings is addicting as hell :wow:

With the apple watch you never had an issue with it counting steps when driving ?

Not while driving for me because I don't make sharp gestures, but on simulation racing, that wheel will cause steps to be counted. I personally don't care for steps, my cardio comes from a waterrower and cycling. I think the fitbit was less sensitive in that regard and I'm not sure if the Apple Watch walk sensitivity can be changed.

I would let someone else speak on that to be honest, I normally don't care about the step counter outside of closing a ring, so if you really want an accurate step counter, I would research that. I caved to the Apple Watch primarily for heartrate accuracy.

edit: I have both watches, I will have to charge my fitbit up, but I could test and report back if you don't find anything on the topic.
