This sums it up in one simple sentence. If you are black, you belong to the out-group, so black conservatives are tap dancing in defense of a social order that is designed to marginalize their own.

And before coli milic00ns get mad and start arguing to the contrary, another excerpt from the text that quote is taken from:

"As the core proposition of conservatism is indefensible if stated baldly, it has always been surrounded by an elaborate backwash of pseudophilosophy, amounting over time to millions of pages. All such is axiomatically dishonest and undeserving of serious scrutiny. [...] it is, as the kids say these days tl;dr."

This is it :unimpressed:

Socially, most Black Americans are Black conservatives. It just doesn’t make sense to be a member of the GOP because they are actively racist. If they made a few fiscal concessions and were not overt White supremacist, they could have White House on lock for at least the next 50 years.

I've been saying this but the coli and black community is in denial about it.

What you want to say is, that many black americans adhere to pseudophilosophies designed to disguise the true nature of conservatism. The racism of the GOP that you refer to is at the core of what conservatism considers a desirable social order.

Which is completely different compared to political (Republican) conservatism...

There's a lot of black ppl (including myself) who hold similar thoughts and beliefs which could be considered conservative...however that doesn't necessarily mean there's a connection in political terms and it's not in the same stratosphere as having conservative (Republican) aspirations.

You guys keep trying to connect the two as if they're both equivalent (minus the racial aspect) when it's nowhere near the same.

There needs to be more of a distinctive breakdown between the two rather than just tying the two together in a knot.

America is a lost cause for Black Americans. Things will never get better for us. I know it sounds like a defeatist attitude but that's just reality :yeshrug:

I've been saying this for a while too.

Conservatives don't really care about the morals they proclaim, if they did there would be a push against trump because he's got some serious baggage. Conservatives #1 objective is protecting the status quo and that's what he promised them.

“I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this,” Minton told Mazzei. “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

A real quote from a trump supporter during the government lockdown
