As I keep saying: anyone who isn't talking about organizing is wasting your time.

The bankers are the audience. Big tech is the matador and politicians are the cape. Guess who the bull is?

All that matters is the power that people have. The reason you have a 5 day work week, social security, etc. Is because much of America's economic activity was in the hands of people who owned factories, mines and railroads. The workers organized together and demanded better working conditions. For every day they weren't working, billions in revenue was being lost.

Cloud computing= the new railroad
Service industry= the new factories
Software= the new mines.

Service industry workers need to unionize. Tech workers need to unionize. If this doesn't happen, the owners of these platforms and titans in those industry can and will do whatever the fukk they want. Your only bargaining chip is also your strongest: labor.
Which is why the American public is so weak now.

Reagan killed off unions because they didn't want workers to have labor as leverage.

So they made us all consumers and moved the jobs overseas.

This has been the plan for a long time

And it is up to us as workers to fix that problem. Politicians aren't going to fix it because it is literally not in their financial interests to do so. If kids were taught about the stock market and how it works, much of congress would be absolutely destroyed in elections because voters would understand what their representative's financial interests are and will see how the policies that they support or reject may benefit them financially but hurt you as a voter.

Its in the financial interest of someone who owns a uranium mine for america to use nuclear power based on reactors that need uranium as raw material. It is in the financial interests of a senator to draft/support legislation that would help a company build that nuclear reactor and use the uranium from the mine owner's cache. Why? Because that senator owns stock in the company that designs the nuclear power plant, stock in the company that procured the material to build the plant, stock in the companies whose technology will be used in the plant, stock in the military contractor that uses the depleted uranium, and stock in the mining company that sources the uranium.

It is NOT in the financial interests of that senator to build a thorium power plant because thorium has no obvious military applications, is plentiful, has less of an environmental impact, is less dangerous, and requires less space for a reactor than uranium. This is why the technology for thorium nuclear reactors is decades old, but no city in america is using them.

It is NOT in the financial interests of legislators for america to get off oil because petroleum is still purchased with dollars and is still a major factor in the energy industry and manufacturing. Businesses that most of your representatives have investments in.

People need to divest from these industries and spend their money on renewable energy stocks, they need to organize and form unions, and the strongest leaders from those unions need to run for city council, governor, congress etc. Just like how conservatives spent billions on scholarships and think tanks to produce hundreds of thousands of right wing politicians, influencers and businessmen, we have to counter that shyt with mutual aid and send people who are focused on america instead of their own money and who have solidarity with workers, not the financial elite.
