Like I said before, you're not seen as being serious. Girlfriends is kid shyt, a family is grown man business. @ThrobbingHood spoke on it...Stability is what is expected with certain important jobs, and a family in theory, keeps you in check. No spontaneous decisions that could lose the company money. A kid at home means you're more likely to go along and not rock the boat.

Hell Stacey Abrams lost out on being Georgia Governor in part because she is almost 50 and isn't married with kids.

It might be 2023 but trust there are many people who still have a traditional mindset when it comes to this.

Miss the point completely. Promotions are all done informally: family BBQs, day trips, camping etc. Unless the boss really really really likes you and trusts you, it’s highly unlikely you will get an invite if you’re still a bachelor.
