Nobody wants or wants to consider an alternative. The poison against anything other than what's known is potent and everlasting. The thing about competing ideas is that the winning ideology attempts to ensure there will never be a challenge again, so any attempt at any kind of alternative is met with extreme hostility which is how you end with the concept of geopolitics and worrying about an entirely different region of the world......weirdo ass humans can barely utilize the golden rule, there's no way to do something different and be left alone. There is always sabotage, a successful alternative has to be demonized and destroyed
