It's still the same. But the market is still ass.Do you guys still feel this way about black students applying to law school? I have been thinking more and more about applying lately now that I've realized being a teacher isn't for me.

I used to work for a social justice nonprofit but I was in the education department, so I couldn't really work with clients on an individual basis to evaluate their situations and help them out directly. A law degree would allow me to do that, along with having more influence as a part of a social justice organization. Of course a law degree comes with risks, chances of unemployment, ect. I'm still weighing my options.Question you should be asking yourself is why you want to be a lawyer
What exactly will a law degree help you do
Ah, ok. Do you mind if I PM you a few questions? It's still the same. But the market is still ass.

Any other advice for an undergrad considering it?The market is ass because of over-saturation of law students coming out. And just get used to hearing "Unpaid Internship". I know this is going to sound insane, but the real reason you go to Law School is get the education at Law School. Which is basically how to control and deal with America. Everyone in power positions in this country are lawyers or people with law degrees. It's the final hurtle to success in this country. Much like a pledging process, you go in one type of person and come out a totally different person. A lot of my ruthless and a$$hole tendencies come from Property I...lol Don't do it for the money in the beginning or you will learn to hate it and the people that it attracts. (People who want to be District Attorney's). You also get to see the underbelly of America, (the cases, caselaw, witness interviews) all the shyt that is glossed over on tv for the big story. I liked Law School and I fukking Hated it at the same time.
But I think if your GPA is decent and you score well on the LSAT...and you are a minority...go to Law School. It won't be easy but you will know yourself at the end of it.
Get a 170 or above on the LSAT.Any other advice for an undergrad considering it?
