But they had Dre headlining. :dwillhuh:

The Game just ain’t on that level. That’s why he doesn’t belong. :mjlol:

In Da 15th
What percentage of the demographic would have been like “ :damn::ohlawd: THE GAME!!”

at the end of the day dude was never a superstar like that. In Da Club is a song that still gets people hyped 20 years later..and it'll be around 20 more years after that. If it was that big of a snub he would’ve been trending.

i know dudes on here love his discography but you have to separate personal preference from the reality of the situation :manny:

True.

Admittedly, I’m a big Game fan (not the antics tho). Lyrically, name-dropping and all, I’d put him top-3 in his era and he carried a coast by himself when everything shifted south. He made someone like me who didn’t like crunk music still love hip hop in that era.

But over the years the guy just self-destruct and wrote himself out of hip hop pantheon. A guy who has 2 classic hip hop albums deserves it especially in his hometown when someone like Eminem who has only one was there (I know Em is greater overall and an icon). I know the take might be controversial but since most people think “The Documentary” is a classic album - I think “Dr’s Advocate” which is a better album (IMO) is also a classic album.

But I can’t argue against your take.

What song does game have to compare to songs perform like In da club, Lose yourself, Still Dre?
I don't think he should've been there at all, in fact low key felt kendrick was out of place too. He has great songs but no timeless shyt everybody the stadium was singing along to like the other.

I agree about Kendrick Lamar but maybe they wanted him there for young audiences, everybody knows who is he

there's a thread going on in the booth talkin' 'bout Wack working with Benzino about Em's racist tapes....on that alone Game had no chance getting on that stage.
Goes to show wacks mentality. Putting money in his artist pockets should be his one and only priority. Not this bullshyt

Game did it to himself. He didn’t belong on the Superbowl Stage because he doesn’t have the career or the connects of the 5 artists who Dre chose.

Even eliminating Eminem from the equation because he was included solely as white America’s all time favorite rapper; 50 Cent’s In Da Club is a bigger song than any song Game has ever released. Snoop Dogg is a THIRTY YEAR Icon and arguably rap’s first megastar, Mary J Blige is also a THIRTY YEAR ICON and the biggest R&B artist of her era, and Kendrick Lamar is a wunderkind whose last album was the BIGGEST selling album of that year and made him the ONLY RAPPER EVER to win a Pulitzer Prize.

What does Game have competing with any of that? A rape case, a manager who himself would rather be alllllll in the videos, and a partridge in a fukking pear tree

Damn
Good point

When Doc say its a wrap its a wrap, and Jigga said Nah after that.

Game is a dope MC, with incredible flow and cadence however he lacks a personality you can tell in his raps that he emulates whomever is around him. And all the antics with the rape case them pictures with the under age chick finger blasting it would be a full on smear campaign on the SB.

All of the other artist have cases and controversies and shyt but moved on to do better Hits, shows, projects etc. Game can rap his ass off but he still on demon time like he 24.

:yeshrug: Now I don't know if cause the way Dre works, control freak about everything, lot of takes, re-dos etc...etc.. that builds some sort of weird bond, connection w/ artist..

:mjlol: but I swear I hear of no other producer :gucci: w/ the kind of problems Dre be having w/ these characters expecting him to Baby them and be forging lifelong musical partnerships..

:patrice: you never hear of Pharrell having these problems working w/ primarily the same individuals Dre has :jbhmm: huh.....

:sas2: maybe it's deeper than rap.....:gladbron:
