It may be crass but the best way I can explain it is I simply can’t be motivated to really…give my all…eh hem If I’m not attracted.


That’s why I be joking around but serious in those gym threads. I know what it feels like when the world treats you completely differently when you are fit vs not. It’s life changing for a woman, and I know it’s the same for men because fine men live life on easy mode too.

So yea character and intelligence are certainly more important and consequential, but the first thing ppl see/encounter is our looks and I know it’s the first thing that gets me fired up so why be delusional about it.

I mean, that’s common sense.

That’s why men gain power and influence. Women are judged by society based on looks. Men are judged by society based on success.

What we are saying is it is natural to be drawn to others based on looks.

Society is based on much more than looks so everything gets factored in if we are talking about finding and maintaining true relationships and connections. HOWEVER, women are visual creatures- just like men. So of course we are initially drawn to men who look good.

I can’t look at you and know that you’re a nice guy.
I can’t look at you and know what your career is or how much you make.
I can’t look at you and tell if you’re close to your family.


I can look at you and be attracted to you and determine whether you take care of your physical, and that would make me WANT to find out the answers to the questions above.


That’s why men still need to groom themselves properly and care about their appearance.

It’s the difference between women looking at you and being interested in YOU vs women looking at you and wondering how much money you make. A lot of men don’t understand what that is like.
