:banderas: at how effortlessly Wiggins got 22 and 10 in 25 minutes. Parker is really nice, but Wiggins potential though is off the charts. :ohlawd: They weren't lying when they said that he would sleep walk through most of the game until its crunch time.

That's just what I was saying about Wiggins. You see it as effortless, but that's just the way he plays. I would say, can you do that at his size in the NBA? Should you spend a #1 pick on the ultimate garbage player?

I didn't know garbage players stepped it up when it counted.

He's going no worse than top 3 and the only thing he lacks and needs to work on is his motor. It kind of scares me that he wouldn't take the challenge of going against Parker personally and proving that he's the better player. But at the same time he finished with 22 and 10 and didn't even play 30 minutes so it's obvious that the hype is real and it's all up to him to live up to it. But all the tools are there for him to do so.

Wiggins is also surrounded by better talent. He played within the flow of the team, but wasn't afraid to take the big shots down the stretch.

Him and Parker have been matched up numerous times over the last couple of years. Wiggins can handle him, but with the fouls Self probably didn't want to risk it.

I was waiting to see total domination by this dude like he was the second coming of Jordan. Eh.. Jalen Rose and Webber coming in college were wayyyyy more exciting than this dude.

last time I'll say this, HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO ALL FRIDETTE @ KU!!!!! Self won't allow it. Plus why try the hardest to shine when you got a great group of complimentary pieces? Gotdamn y'all going off of 1 game sample sizes and shyt and proclaiming dude is trash, which he's not. He's playing within the confines of the Self system (which has shown to handcuff players)

No doubt he can just want to see him be more aggressive from the opening tip and act like the best player on the court which he is most nights.

When are yall gonna realize that's just not his game? He's not trash, but he's always been more of a team guy who gets a lot of put backs and hustle points. He has the athleticism to make all of the plays and can do it at times, but that's just not what he does. Last night is his history, period. Very efficient, great hustle, can score when called on. That's why in the early thread comparing him to Wiggins and Randle I said he's probably the ultimate college player. Also figured Parker would thrive under the coach K system. So neither of them are a surprise. Randle is more of a surprise to me because he's always had the size, but early on in high school he didn't have the motor and was out of control all the time. Believe it or not, he's the one who has come the furthest in the shortest time, IMO. Parker and Wiggins have been who they are for 3 years. Randle has rapidly gotten stronger and more under control, especially against other bigs, which he used to struggle against. Much stronger than he was even last year. I'd be curious if Wiggins could guard him now that he's an inch taller and 20 lbs heavier. I think people see Randle and see his highlights and think he had that motor and just bullied smaller players all the time. Nope, dude has grown into himself and his game is calming down. If he's a skilled Blake Griffin with only a 6'11" wingspan :beli:..........only, then I don't get the knock on that. Not trying to ride dude, but I was expecting him to actually be OK at Kentucky but show enough potential to be in contention. Much better college player than I expected. At this point I would rather the Mavs put their stock in him of the three is they were to tank. But just saying, Wiggins is what he is. The hype keeps trying to say he is something he isn't. Instead of believing that, he's stayed humble and is doing what he's always done to a great level. But is that franchise leading material? It really hard to project that because who was the last high pick like that who has totally become something else later?
