I got mine for £70 with Tropical Freeze. I thought it was worth it. I have a day job so £70 is nothing. All the games now are second hand and I can get them for £10 on Amazon or eBay and there are about 20 excellent games exclusive for Wii U so if you love Nintendo at their best then cop one. The Wii U was Nintendo's return to form since the SNES with classic after classic. Most games don't have online anyway they are for the most part single player experiences unless it's Smash or Mario Kart but those games will all be ported to Switch soon as the Wii U died a short and horrible death so I'd think any company including Nintendo would like money from their hard work so expect it like you expect Jesus to come back, it's coming.
For under $150 I would. There are some gems on the Wii U that may never be ported.

A lot of the games may end up on the Switch, so just wait a bit. if you missed the Wii U era, it's probably best to just keep it missed.
