I found out about this today, It's called vwii you can google it or go to gbatemp wii u hack discussions, you can pretty much do anything you did on the vwii that you did with a hack wii. Not to sure why the homebrew is not messing with wii-u.
Yeah you can hack the wii section just like the old wii. In regards to the wii u, if im correct the Home Brew guys said something along the lines of the Home Brew Channel wasn't intended for piracy but was for a user based game development community at a time when indie devs were having a hard time getting published, and that times have changed now with iOS and indie self publishing so independant devs can now officially release their work with far greater ease than they could at the time of the Home Brew Channel development.

How did you expect it to be powered?
PS3/PS4? Both have superiority over the Wii-U hardware speaking, PS4 being far more powerful and neither has a power brick. Nintendo needs to do better man.

From the of set what stood out is the tablet controller, nicely intergrated, using it to control the TV is a nice touch and the ability to use it as a second screen works well. Looks good to with the black finish. What's the average battery life?
Internet browsing is smooth and Mario in 1080P... :gladbron: A gen behind but finally.

:comeon:Really?
Man I hope they're not serious with that nonsense, I'm not paying retail price for games that are on a last gen console.

Are the games only going to be rehashed sequels to nintendo franchise games, like Mario, Zelda, etc? I think I'm going to buy a Wii U, but I'm worried that it'll be like the Wii when it comes to actual games. Wii had like no games really, beyond the normal franchise ones

You can expect much of the same, Nintendo doesn't really introduce new series and I doubt it'll change this gen. Personally I brought the console as I do every gen for the Nintendo exclusives and it never disappoints.

You have third parties making exceptions like monster hunter, the new Bayonetta game and SEGA with Sonic.

Playing through Mario bros U right now and waiting on the new Mario to be delivered, I made the right choice choosing this over the PS4.
I think both this and the PS3 should comfortably hold me over until the summer of next year.
The new Mario Kart looks :wow:

Yeah, I expect my Ps3 to tide me over. Im thinking of getting this Wii U shyt. While what you said about 3rd parties and new series disappoints me, I may still get it

Thats a hard one to answer because yes there definitely are some sequels both available and coming soon but there are also a small number of great original/exclusive titles. As far as multiplatform titles, there's not much support aside from ubisoft, activision and wb. Nintendo have remarked that they are trying to get games to fill in the gaps but how well that goes only time will tell. Their work with Platinum games is encouraging though

Picked up a Wii U on Friday and it's amazing. Been playing Mario 3D World and Wonderful 101. These games are the reason I play games, no lie.
I just scooped up W101 too and all I can say is got damn this game is good. Seriously, I feel like a kid again playing this one. It's just really fun. Might even be my game of the year. I haven't played m3dw yet though, I'm tryna do one game at a time

Yeah man. W101 is def in my running for GOTY. Platinum is easily my studio of the year (they dropped Anarchy Reigns, Metal Gear Rising and this)

Brehs, when I tell you that Mario bros U game is the devil I'm not exaggerating... I completed it but it took a lot out of me.
They really need to chill on the difficulty.

Some levels had me really close man, I wanted throw that tablet controller out the window/against the wall, some that I recall "Run for it" and the second to last level on the bonus star world it took me an hour plus to complete.
I was losing my sanity.
Anyone here complete it with every star coin?

Next time I don't think I'm even going to bother with the star coins if they make me feel this way, takes the fun out of the game.

Wii-u is the #1 thing on my wish list. The upcoming games are far superior to those coming out for the other consoles. Two words...

Mario kart :wow:

Well don't get Super Mario World 3D then because you can't even advance to the next level unless you have a certain number of them.I'm at the last level but i can't play it until i have 130 stars and i only have like 75.So i have to go back and replay levels to try and get them.Still fun though.
