Why did the mother not treat it as such, is my question? If that was our daughter as a child, my wife would not stand there and wait on other men to get our daughter from another woman. She would have done it herself, even if it meant flipping that hispanic woman on her head to do it. Then again, our daughter would not run from her mother either when she was a child.

Bruh, this kid drives my sister and her husband crazy. Couple of times he’s gotten up in the middle of the night and walked out of the front door and walked down the street. When they find him he’s sitting on the same bench humming to himself. Put interior locks on the doors and he climbed out it the window. He’ll wander off instantly in public unless you keep hands on him. It’s exhausting. Feel empathy for any parents of autistics.

Comments were saying the kid was non-verbal autistic and ran away randomly. Mother is Muslim and doesn’t speak English so couldn’t verbalize what was happening. She likely chased him to stop him but couldn’t catch him. Kid was totally silent in vid and acts like my nephew who’s also non-verbally autistic. He just does random shyt also and should be tied to a post with a rope if it were legal…

a kid isn't a lost puppy. they don't become your property or responsibility just because you found one free roaming without a collar.
Your immediate response should be to look for his parents and reunite them. Ask the kid if that's his mommy, he says yes or he reaches for her, job done.
Kid clearly was trying to get to her. He not trying to wrestle away from you to get with some strangers

Its a tough call. Child neglect and abuse is common so I can understand wanting the police to at least check things out beforehand. If i a random child is running to me for help I'm not going to be so quick to give him/her back to their parents.

Damn, my girl's got what I thought was a heavily autistic niece but she's never gotten up to antics like that. Hopefully your nephew grows out of it.

As long you don't do it to the wrong person. I would probably shoot you in this scenario. I don't give af what the cops or you have to say about my child.
anybody defending this especially after know the child belongs to her deserve whatever happens. I'd recommend istead taking out your camera phone, getting photo, following them if they leave and getting their plates if you must, and then reporting that to the police if you are so inclined. But detaining that child without any evidence or proof will get you harmed by certain mother and father bears
