i quit eso after hitting vr3 i think.. that whole vr system was dumb as hell.
bought wildstar a couple days before the headstart. been playing it a bit.. up to level 16 or 17 now.
it's cool so far.
the combat is fun. it's not something that other games should look to adopt.. but all the telegraphs and stuff fit the sci-fi cartoon theme very well. i still think tera combat is the best by far.
i've only unlocked the first 2 bgs.. i have no idea how many there actually are. the ctf style bg is a lot of fun. typical ctf but you can steal the other team's captured flags from their base. the arena itself is very basic though. i'm not sure if it's a plus or a minus. like there's a LOT more going on in wow's wsg than in ws' temple bg.
the second bg was just ok. it's domination style with 3 points. but the points are in a line.. so it's more like capture the first point, move on to the next.. rather than trying to capture them all at the same time. i'm not sure that's how it's supposed to be played.. but that's how it went when i played. i played defense for a couple minutes before realizing that nobody was trying to backcap. but it seems like backcapping was possible.. i was lit though so i'm pretty sure i was doing a lot of things wrong.
the questing sucks ass. everything about it. the quest log and tracker are both terrible. the quests are boring and spread out. too much backtracking.. man, it's just shytty. i'm not the type that reads quests, learns lore and follows the story so there might be this amazing story to the game. but the questing itself is awful. i might have to level through bgs/dungeons and just go back for the essential quests later on.
i only got to do an adventure (mini dungeon) so far.. the first dungeon opens up at 20 and i'm looking forward to that. the adventure was cool. they have "choose your own adventure" type moments where you get 3 options on where to go next. it's an interesting concept but nothing too impressive.
overall, i'm enjoying myself. but i enjoyed the beginning of eso too..

you lost for buying swtor and esoi played the beta a little but not much. it seemed solid, but fukk i look like buying another MMO after SWTOR and ESO
swtor and all that budget went f2p before Rift even tho Rift came out 11 months prior

in the end the developers really lost cuz both those games had a ridiculous budget. Rift is just a WoW clone but it did it correctly at least.
