I think Cabrera has the skills to do it. I also think puig can also. have read good things about his mechanics and tools when swinging. I know for sure it's unlikely 56 gets touched tho. the season record for hits is 275. batting .400 means coming close to that. anyone think that can be broken? ichiro hit 262 in 04

Baseball is too data driven with specialty pitchers for it to happen today. Miguel Cabrera hitting over .370 today is far more praiseworthy than one doing it 50 yrs ago

There is no way he hits .400. None.
