Sadly Lou Reed raped Tribe of the royalties because the sample wasn’t cleared so the question might be did Lou Reed get paid.. Hope somebody from Tribe got something though

I figured it’s either that from my understanding an interpolation costs less to license then an original recording. That or (I’m not into British hip hop) whoever the artist may have already remade it and that’s the version that got licensed.
