Indeed. Our up bringing does not educated us on the prospects of ownership and assets. Some of us only learn about credit when we are already in debt up to our ears.
And the places we call home, we don't own nothing in them. Corner stores are own by Spanish, middle eastern or jews. We have Chinese food and pizza, no black own or black run or black cultured businesses in our areas. Go to a Jewish neighborhood. Jew supermarkets, Jew clothing stores, Jew toy stores even. They are completely self sufficient.
Blacks must get to this level as a whole. But we lack trust from each other. We always try to get over and con each other. We are conditioned to be against each other. I remember growing up, this hardware store own by this mean ass black woman. I would go in and get some nails for my father, she would just point or give me attitude and quickly discard me. When them cac walk in, they get the full customer service. That made me not support her business. And this happens with most black on black interaction. We are conditioned to automatically straighten up and act right in front of these cac and spit on our own. It starts in the mind.

and white folks stand outside waiting for the new iPhone with their moms money. This has nothing to do with it. No matter what the race the general public is pretty misinformed. Everyday more and more black families make it out of the hood and on to more prosperous lifestyles. And we will continue to improve.
