realistically, we been on equal footing since like 1989 (70s was pretend equality, 80s was crack epidemic). so yes we will, just no in 20-30 years when everyone else had 100-1000 year head starts.

I understand where you're coming from, but that is a deficit mind set. There really is no limit on the amount of money available within the economy. We just have to control whats in our community, circulate and build among ourselves (which requires trust and getting away from a smash an grab mentality........) and you would close that gap sooner than later.

When we don't own what's in our community, we can't control anything.

the banks that give out the mortgages on our homes, the company that owns the apartment complex we live or even commercial property being leased out to people who service our neighborhoods,even the gas that you put in your car... aren't owned by us.


you also have to remember, this isn't Tulsa in 1910.. people can spend their money where they want...we're not stuck in one area and dont have to resort to a socialist society to prosper.

Wage gap isn't going to close in 40 to 50 years,cause capitalism says so... the same Rich families will still be rich, will still maintain practices that keep themselves rich..

think about it breh, it took professional sports and hip hop to spawn all these black millionaires.. and in turn, it only made white folks that much richer.

having multiple centuries of a head start to make money in a capitalist society can't be closed in 40-60 years..just aint possible

we aren't even a community yet , our value for education= . having children out of wedlock/teens is another major issue for us.

It's not about black people closing the wealth gap. It's about POOR people closing the gap. For over 20 years the middle class has been shrinking and lower class has been expanding. This includes all races. Out of everybody black people started from the bottom so logically it will take us longer to make it to the top, but considering where we came from and the fact that the President is a black man, I think we are doing ok and will continue to improve.
