Hell any artist with creative freedom (no label to keep them in check) could do numbers if the album is thorough from front to back.....Wayne already proven he could move units, its a win win anyways. He wouldnt have to come out of pocket for promo, etc.....just the making of the album itself

No, this tactic would never work again (as in creating a frenzy with the sales to match). If he did it first at his peak he probably would have done even better than Beyonce. But now, nah. He should just do traditional promo and minimize leaks. If the music is good he will do respectable numbers. I don't forsee another rap album selling a million first week ever again though.
