Will Cleveland regret passing on Embiid for Wiggins?

No @Eye Cue 182 but if both Wiggins & Embiid pan out to near max potential, wouldn't the preference be the dominant big?

Kyrie
Waiters/Miller
Bron
Thompson/Bennett
Embiid/Varejao

Just seems like a perfectly balanced roster, and there is less of a reliance for Bron to bang in the post and add on wear & tear. Its disappointing we'll never see him play with a nice low post scorer

I know people are forgetting about Joel while summer league is on, but he has the highest ceiling of this draft

Of course you take the big but Oden career trajectory + Bennett s failures last season probably had them shook to take the risk. Personally even though I follow the 76ers and I was :blessed: when he fell I don't think he ever ends up the dominate big he has the potential to be. He just showed too much promise for it to actually be fulfilled, I think he has a injury riddled career and never makes it big :to:.

Wiggins is meh to me and will probably always be a role player but at least he'll play games :sadcam:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
He would have been traded to Minnesota on Saturday had they taken him, that injury meant he was a no go for Cleveland.

They made the right choice considering Joel's injury, if he wasn't injured he would have gone first, that's pretty much a no brainer.

If they can get a center next off-season and retain most of their young players I think it wont hurt them as much if Joel turns out to be great.

but is Joel's injury any indication of a pattern or ongoing issue? I thought it was just a freak injury

They found various potential long term issues in his physical. Not just the back or navicular bone. Joel has thin blood.

Bone density is a measurement of how dense and strong the bones are. If your bone density is low compared to normal peak density, you are said to have osteopenia, which leads to a greater risk that, as time passes, you may develop bone density that is very low compared to normal, known as osteoporosis.

Ford also reported that some teams were concerned with the results of Embiid's blood tests, and mentioned the word "hepatitis" when mentioning some of the concerns.

"There is stuff about (bone density), there is some blood issues as well," Ford said. "It is not uncommon for athletes who grow up in Africa to test positive for hepatitis. Not uncommon for their to be anemic issues. There is enough there to scare you a bit."

I hope he overcomes it all and fulfills his potential. I'm a Joel Embiid fan.

If they took him despite the injury and knowing he wouldn't play this season, I don't think they end up landing bron...not this summer anyway...maybe Bron opts in, stays in MIA one more year to see what kind of progress Embiid makes and then skates from the Heat next year...but I don't think he leaves with that big of a question mark...wiggins is all about potential and all that too, but at least he's playing and will be a super athletic running mate on the wing for Lebron instantly...and there's always the possibility he's flipped for Love

I dont think that is true, Cleveland is what Bron and his team have wanted for some time

Bron sees the bigger picture

I already do :russ: I wanted to trade down so bad to 3 for Embiid if it was really true that it was an offer of 3/10 for 1....
