No.

Hindsight is 20/20

If Embiid really does become Hakeem OLujawon. 2.0
And Wiggins becomes Harold Miner 2.0

And LeBron never wins another one with the Cavs then yeah obviously

But most people believe Wiggins will be a good player

And they didnt know LeBron was coming back

You cant take two potential busts with the #1 overall pick two yrs in a row

embiid is too much of a risk, a good player to draft if you are sixers who keep on tanking

there is a perfect opportunity to get the best out of wiggins now that they have lebron, might be the best or 2nd best duo if all things go well

It's bust potential in both wiggins and Parker the only one who didn't have that was Parker because at the most we knew he could get buckets.

Drafting Wiggins and Lebron returning is probably the GOAT offseason a team can have, outside of what Miami did when they came together...

And we don't know if Lebron comes if they draft the hurt big man. I'm sure he knows with Wiggins he'll at least be playing right away or can be traded for Love down the road if they go that route.

I am starting to have serious concerns about Embiid. He already has back issues and foot issues and remember, he has only been playing ball for 4-5 years. That hard court is no joke on those 7 footers man :to:

I dont think that is true, Cleveland is what Bron and his team have wanted for some time

Bron sees the bigger picture

I definitely think they had returning to the Cavs (at some point) as a contingency plan for a while, but it was one dependent on a certain series of events happening...if wade doesn't show signs of breaking down, the heat don't take the biggest ass whooping in finals history, and the Cavs don't improbably win the the lottery AGAIN this year in a loaded draft, I don't think Bron leaves MIA this summer...when all of those things did happen, who Clev picked at #1 HAD to coincide with what they thought Bron would be happiest with...and I just have to think with all the injury questions lingering with Embiid and being out the entire season, that would give Bron some pause...and that's something they wanted to avoid at all costs....all of that "oh I wanted to come home and inspire the downtrodden youth of northeast ohio" sh!t sounds real nice, but I think it was just as much about "the cavs have some how lucked into having a roster full of young talent with endless potential that will give me a team primed for the future...Dwade has 40 year old knees and we collectively make too much money to continue fielding a super duper team that just embarrasses everyone with talent..i might as well bounce now instead of waiting till later"...Embiid instead of Wiggins adds a question mark on the promise of that young talent and makes it a less enticing roster, however slightly

When he's locking up Beal and Lance in the playoffs, I'll be just fine with him.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
but is Joel's injury any indication of a pattern or ongoing issue? I thought it was just a freak injury

It could be a pattern, every gifted center prospect we get is physically broken in some way and I've given up hope for now :to:

What I'm saying though is had they drafted him while he's injured, with that 5-8 month recovery window, he would have been traded to the Wolves already for Love.
