medically cleared don't really mean much. just means that you pass the minimum threshold for being able to play. and team docs in all professional sports have questionable histories for clearing players before they know they are ready.

team doc tells rose: you can stand on it so you can play. rose tells doc: still doesn't feel as strong as it used to. team doc: that's what your other leg is for! :troll:

players know their body better than anyone else. the type of explosive game rose has means he needs to be at 110% or risk re-injuring his knee or injuring something else for overcompensating for a weak knee.

not everyone can pull off what adrian peterson did...

team doc would NEVER do this. if the doc works for the bulls, they wouldn't take that kinda risk with rose. if they cleared him before he was actually ready and something bad happened, that doc would NEVER work again.

btw, drose's status has been upgraded to day-to-day :obama:

goons in the cut tryna talk you out yo necklace
His game is 100% athleticism. He is not a skilled player his game is jump higher and try to do retarded lay ups thru 2-3 defenders so that's why he hasn't played yet

All the other players who tore their acl's last year have returned including the guy who tore his the exact same day rose did. He's been playing for 2 months now, makes no sense that rose hasn't played by now it's all mental

Yeah and Shumpert looks GREAT:scusthov:

The "when player A loses his athletic ability, he will be terrible" arguments are among the worst on this site. This is somewhat true for all players or they would play forever.

Wade hasn't lost his athletic ability YET.I was talking about how he looked earlier in the year is probably how he will look once he does start losing that ability. His game is similar to roses except wade is more skilled his mid range game was nice a couple years ago,he can post up and hit shots off the glass and play under the basket he can transition his game when he gets older better than rose can

Dwade was coming off knee surgery and if you love at the timeline for recovery he came back too fast. Even young players take time to get back to form. Dude was rejecting players at the rim during the Finals on a bad knee. I think Drose will be back just fine. He is just struggling with the mental part. I'm sure everything is fine physically. Rose will get better skill wise. He already has a decent jumper...skills take time to develop and perfect...doesn't happen overnight. Right now, we are looking at a player that hasn't reached his potential skill wise.

Compare a player like Iverson to a player like Nash or Kidd.:usure:

The later two have a skill based game, so they can still play at a high level even into their late 30's, long after their athleticism is gone. AI however, had an athleticism based game, and was done by his early-mid 30's.

AI was done because he didn't work on maintaining and building on his skills. He also didn't take care of his body. Iverson was so quick that even if he slowed down he would still be quicker than a lot of players had he took care of himself. Dude played his entire career on a terrible diet, weed, liquor, and a restless lifestyle. His counterpart Nash beast after he turned 30 because he was a professional and cared about maintaining and improving his level of play.

So you agree with me, he relied on his speed rather than developing pg skills?

Have you seen Iverson lately? Go watch his videos in China, even Nash at this moment is quicker than him now. The fact is, Nash and Kidd were never the athlete AI was, not even close, so they had to rely more on skills.

there are many examples of players at every level of play that returned too early from injury. care to guess who cleared them to play? did those team doctors ever face penalties? i doubt it and if they did we never hear of it.

it always gets pushed back on the player if they return too early. the team doctor can only say that structurally everything should be fine. that's what the owners, management and coaches want to hear. dwight howard may not be the best example, but he's one of the most recent ones. he says his shoulder and back were hurting. but everyone was pressuring him to play. the team docs said he was cleared to play (on a torn labrum that will probably need surgery in the offseason if he makes it that far).

so to say the team docs would NEVER do that is kind of naive imo.
