What success? The success he had headlining since Survivor Series 2011 that didn't budge the needle..lol. Didn't budge the needle to the point that they had to bring in Lesnar once Rock went back to Hollywood post Mania 28. And Bryan was hot since Miami. CM Punk didn't have one fukking thing to do with it. In truth, Punk wouldn't be who he is without Danielson because his whole Best in the WORLD gimmick is a ripoff of Bryan from 2006. Just like that Summer of Punk shyt is a ripoff of the Austin 97 run.

Punk leaving is literally the only way bryan got here. They were not putting bryan in the main event and I don't know why people can't understand thag. Punk essentially sacrifices his spot maybe to save his body or whatever but all people were Asking for for years was some one new and talented to get a mania shot. WWE may be hard headed but no way were they putting out that main event with out at least a 3rd guy, and im thinking the fans would boo anyone not named Bryan in that spot.
