Nah. shyt looks like a Halo rip off. It will do well the first time around but the 2nd will most likely flop. Bungie was better off making it a ps4 exclusive.

The main draw of the game is having 5 other friends to team up with and go on MMO missions with. This has never really been done on consoles, and it will attract an entirely different audience than Halo. The games really shouldn't be compared after playing the beta.
Halo has transcended past games into pop culture. Very few games do that, and without a strong story/narrative then destiny won't do it either.

I loved Halo but it felt like at some point the story was stretched for no reason to milk the franchise.

The devs themselves said the main draw, and the thing they've put the most time into is the co-op. this is the mode they want you to be playing far into the future.

In PVP all the "stuff" you find gets curbed so everyone is playing on an even playing field. I think there's only one mode that let's you truly use your stuff. And you are fooling yourself if you think destiny PVP will be more popular than halo. Once MCC comes out destiny will be thrown in the bushes by X1 owners. And it will have to compete with battlfield and cod on ps4. Out of all the impressions I've read from the beta, PVP was the least popular.

There's literally under 5 games that have ever reached the popularity of Halo. Just by pure circumstance it's unlikely that destiny reaches that level.
Only reason y'all stanning this game so hard is cause you're trying to make yourselves feel like you don't need Halo. It's not a halo substitute, and it never will be
