I'd accept it if his filmography didnt beg to differ..he has done other violent movies.

Will did what he wanted to do. Which was make After Earth. A movie starring his Son, with a story conceived by him, and produced by his company. Will Smith had become an entity unto himself so if he wanted to say fukk Tarantino and Django then that is what it is.

Django still turned out ok and is to date the only Tarantino movie i’ve ever enjoyed.

Will has a long history of turning down great roles. I love him as an actor but hate him for some of his decision making. In some aspects Jamie is the better actor and he killed the role but there is probably reasons why will was Tarantino's first choice so it sucks that we'll never get to see his original vision.
