I remember the commercials and promotions leading up to the show with the whole Smith family. Jaden was a little spoiled brat even back then.

it really was…I remember the year before (2004) my cousin was living with me at the time…I forgot what spurred the conversation but I remember saying there’d be a time when gay men would have more rights than black men…not to say that they shouldn’t have rights but to show how undervalued black men would continue to be in this country…that aside 2004-2006 was a pivotal time in my life so it still feels like “yesterday” as opposed to almost 20 years ago
