Jahlil washed...He had his lil run and was everywhere w street rappers, but ain't have the diversity or connects to land consistent BIG placement. Plus, his style was/is easily replicated, and most of his work is only good for "bangers" and club anthems. If he could diversify his style and become the type of producer who could carry a whole project without getting stale, then he'd pop again for sure. But I don't think he can...Unless it's a low level mixtape rapper type of project. His most recent work that I fukk with got this dope lil sample in it...Drums are still generic, but the overall sound is a small step outside his norm...

Breh, why do you say his run is over when he just had his biggest record? I heard Jahlil is working exclusively with Bobby Shmurda for an album, whether Bobby ever releases said album is another thing. :lolbron:

Those GS9 nikkas fukk heavy with Jahlil, Rowdy is a huge Meek stan which probably explains why GS9 has used so many of Jahlil's beats.

He good for a banger occasionally and I think he gets his props but he doesn't have diversity.

Matter of fact, he did her entire mixtape :manny:

It's not pure R&B, but it works about as well as Mustard R&B.

I say it's over b/c his sound is outdated (by today's standards), I likes the shyt. But if we being real, his run was from 2011-2012. I mean when he was POPPIN poppin and sought after. shyt, Bobby Shmurda run is OVER, much as I even hate to admit cuz I liked the kid...It just is what it is. The "popular" soundscape changes and is fickle and a.d.d. within the rap industry. Jahlil probably won't be "popular" enough again to have a major run. When I say run, I mean like The Neptunes, early 2000's. Just Blaze & Kanye early 2000's...Lil' Jon mid 2000's when his work was EVERYWHERE...More recently it's been second-tier producers who just cranking out solid work. Like I said, Jahlil had his a couple years ago. Now it's Mustard & a few other cats.

Not saying he will never have another hit, but he just won't likely be "that guy" again, on "that" level. :yeshrug:He only even really getting mentioned b/c Bobby picked up one of his OLDDDD beats and floated over it. To be honest, if it wasn't for the dance, Jahlil probably wouldn't even be getting mentioned even semi-regularly right now.

nikkas are trolling if they think there will be some Jahlil Beats resurgence. Even Meek ain't fukkin with him like that. Whens the last beat of his Meek spit to and he was supposed to be to Meek what Mustard is to YG lol. He wasn't even on dreamchasers 3

He is diverse, he can make any type of beat.

Problem is that every rapper wants the same sound from him
