"Ain't nobody trying to hear Jay Z (or insert any rapper here) in 2015" type statements are always laughable. Anybody who says it will be the first one in the Jay Z album thread begging for links like it's 2001. I'm not saying 2001 because Jay was still dropping classics then, I'm saying it because people still have a hard time finding links in 2015, but act like they really making powerful statements out here by saying "in 2015".

I wanna hear the gawd with an all new production team, none of the usual cast. Jay need to be rhyming over those smooth, luxurious beats like Ross do.

My last time I bought his album was The Black Album so after that I lost interested his music, he's just bored. Hes doing what the hottest tredny now on the street to double his $$$. He puts the music out what everybody wants to hear that follow the trend, new generation, instead of what he really want to do.

His B-Sides concert was my hiphop highlight of the year. That shyt was incredible. You can tell those are the type of joints he loves making but I guess he's afraid to make the album HE wants to make because it won't garner enough commercial success. These artists that are truly set for life need to stop pandering to the masses and just make music they are passionate about.

the jay hate is wild crazy in here lol

dunno why his age bothers some

especially when those same people are cool with dr dre or GZA droppin muisc both of which are older than jay z lol

as long as the music is good

keep the albums comin

fact is dude makes great music

ironically better than all these bums everyone is stanning for the most part lol

jay hate is just trendy on the internet

i mean some guy in here said 1 more album so jay can be a top 10 mc?

really dude?

name 10 rappers with better catalogs in all seriousness not on some hate or stan shyt

i mean only debateable ones in reality are like scarface or nas to be honest

at this point he drops an album basically when he feels like it i mean he held MCHG and oceans from the damn WTT sessions for like 2 years lol

im beyond sure dude has tracks tucked to the side already

He should just make the music he wants to. It's Jay-Z for crying out loud. Even if the album appeals to hardcore hip-hop heads, it will still sell what the next guy's whole album sold in its first week.

The only thing I worry about is that Jay has nothing to talk about anymore. These days, he raps about what's going on in his life, so what you get is: "I rolled with the Nets but I still get the net, worth. My net-work is making more than what your nets are worth. Get it?"

He should rap from a different perspective on his next album. It should be a retrospective of his career and he revisits all the decisions he has made. He talks about his upbringing and raps from the perspective from the teenager growing up in Brooklyn pushing weight. Then he moves on to his early rap days, then rap from the P.O.V. of the shiny suit baller (1996-2003), and then rap from his own perspective in the present day. It could just be Jay being reflective about who he used to be and who he has become.
