Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets were the basis of Barca's style from 2010-2012, the only constant in the front 3 was Messi and he played with Villa,Pedro,Ibra, Sanchez at various points of the season. That midfield is one of the best 3 man midfields I have ever seen. Many teams play with a base of 2 central midfielders and an advanced 10 so it's difficult to compare with Barca's 4-3-3. Bayern's 2013 with Schweinsteiger-Martinez-Kroos/Muller was impressive enough and Liverpool that one season with Alonso-Mascherano-Gerrard could have been good if Benitez wasn't trying to get Barry.

I think so.He has shown the ability to be versatile in the way Koke is for Atletico. He wasn't fazed by the Classico and the fact that Barca play through the front 3 means there is less pressure on him.

I agree he has shown his versatility.. played as part of the front 3 as part of the midfield 3 and at full back and performed very well. Rafinah has not been helped by injuries

outside of baseball $$$$ top tier football players are bringing in ridiculous salaries. It's sobering to realize some dudes make enough in a week to buy 1-3 houses in the burbs where us broke working class work

no...just no.
the other two are debatable, but figo-zidane-ronaldo real wasnt as dominating

the only other one that come close in recent times is xavi+iniesta+messi

Yes. All day, yes.

As an earlier post alluded to, Xavi - Busquets - Iniesta were the perfect midfield trio ever assembled, and they're products of Barca's very own acadamy.

And between them, Malouda - Drgba - Anelka scored 67 goals in one season, the record breaking season in which Chelsea won the double. Can't hate on that. :manny:(Was gonna add Lampard, but didn't want to be greedy.)

How much are those 3 paid? I'm not familiar with soccer either but I try.

Messi = 5 year contract starting in 2013, worth £256,000 per week after tax

Neymar = 5 year contract starting in 2013, worth £150,000 p/w

Suarez = 5 year contract starting in 2014, worth £200,000 p/w

Not including bonuses, clauses, sponsorships or irregular tax returns. :pachaha:
