It will be Saban, Strong or Shaw.

Yep. I have a feeling that Texas will add an NFL guy to the mix as well. I think Jon Gruden would interesting as well. Remember he is already doing to Elite 11 stuff with the top HS QBs in the country. Seems to enjoy working with young people and he connects with them well. The competition for coaches man increase if the USC job comes up so establishing a connection with Saban's agent early an advantage for Texas.

I read somewhere that Charlie Strong wasn't getting a lot of love from SEC schools cause he is married to a white woman, and some places in particular, that would not go over too well. He'd be a monster in Austin, though.... :ooh:

Same thing happened to Turner Gill when he going for the Auburn job.

They really dodged a bullet on that one. I'd love to see what Art Briles would do there but idk if he'd give up the security and no pressure way of doing biz in Waco over Austin.

but briles is old though dude is almost 60, i mean you let go off mack brown whose 62 and briles is 58

even saban although great is the same age as mack brown, how much longer do these guys have coaching anyways?

Gotta be $10m+ for him to leave Bama IMO. And they'd do it too.
IDK if they ready to go that hard, most NFL coaches aint getting that. That'd be like a 200% pay increase :patrice:

nick saban is making more money than most nfl coaches breh

Of the nine pro coaches who make more than $6 million, eight of them are in the NFL: Payton, Patriots coach Bill Belichick ($7.5 million), Chiefs coach Andy Reid ($7.5 million), Seahawks coach Pete Carroll ($7 million), Rams coach Jeff Fisher ($7 million), Redskins coach Mike Shanahan ($7 million), Giants coach Tom Coughlin ($6.67 million) and Eagles coach Chip Kelly ($6.5 million).

yeah they would but saban is turning 62 next year

if saban were to leave though for texas, bama may actually make it out semi ok, just name kirby smart hc, won't lose a 37 year old hot shot coach in waiting.
Saban smart enough to get out to not tarnish his legacy. You do have Bill Snyder is 73 so you do have that. Granted he's not answering to a fanbase that demands national titles every year
