Imagine being a grown man and having to shyt in yo backyard like a dog until the plumbers come cuz you was off a pill the night before
The building I work in had copper gutterd going around the building and someone came in the middle of the night and stole all that shyt.

also phones aren't going anywhere in 10 years. You still need a way to call people when you are outside the house. not going to be any smart speakers on your hike in the woods. you not gonna be able to text your friends about movie you're watching because theaters are going to have zero incentive to install that disruptive feature into the seats. You not going to be able to set personal reminders in your local grocery stores PA system for your next grocery trip. They would essentially have to make futuristic smart payphones, which would be a step backwards to the hassle of having to share communications devices general public like we used to back before smart phones. Our make every article of clothing a personal smart device, which seems like it would be much more expensive than having one device.

Eventually, smartphones will be replaced by implants, like smart chips in our bodies. Then we would personally be able to link ourselves to world around us. But that is way further away than just 10 years.

I was going to say something very similar. It's far off but the thing to replace smartphones will be implants. Elon has already had tests with a few pigs. A few other companies have said they've had success with typing from thoughts. It's just a matter of when it is all ready to be marketed to us in sleek and trendy packaging.

Porn made the internet what it is and the vast majority of us consume it in private or at least on our phone without others being able to see it, so I can’t see projections on walls overtaking smartphones :yeshrug:

when it’s a better type of glasses, contacts or implant whose image only we can see and hear then the smartphone will go the way of the do-do bird

Smartphones aren't going anywhere. This isn't an either/or situation, new tech is an addition.

I'm still using my desktop when I'm at home because I like decent sized screens and real keyboards. I use mobile devices when I'm mobile. I don't see giving up my desktop either.
