That's the thing. Instead of slapping Rock, he should have leveraged his power or handled him backstage. It was too public. As for all these other people, same thing. He can make calls and deal with them, get them black balled and all that. This happens everyday and part of the reason why some people cannot get a break in various businesses, they pissed off the wrong person.

How is smacking Rock after the fact "defending" his wife? The joke was over, Rock was moving on. This wasn't a tirade against Jada. It was one corny joke. If he really wanted to defend her he gets at Rock the next time he's in front of a camera. Will has put this bullsh!t out there that this was about "defending" his wife when it was really about repairing his pride and ego and apparently a lot of people fell for it.

The n-word comparison is because that is probably how Will took it. I know the difference but he saw the comment as a much harsher thing than it actually was, hence the comparison.
