Man...they had the opportunity to do some interesting things with Wills character too. Imagine how much of a hero Will and Goldblum would be within this universe due to their exploits of the "Invasion War"....imagine Will Smith having won the presidency (Off the message of being a war hero) and being in office during the "Second Invasion War"...imagine that he has to suit up one last time to save his country (And planet) during a time of war....remember that Bill Pullmans character was an ex-fighter pilot in the first movie that had to suit up one last time when duty called...the parallels....
