He's rich and he's famous. He's surrounded by people of all races kissing his ass and trying to get a piece of him. Higher up the social ladder you are the less you're going to deal with it. That Ferrari salesman who wouldn't even give you or me a second look would push him mom down a flight of stairs to get a Will Smith sale first.

and like Malcolm X described being the mascot in his elementary school- the only black kid who was smart and all the kids thought he was "different from all the other blacks"- Alot of the whites who deal with people like Will are still racist and actually consider him "different" than the rest of those blaccs-- So even when a black person breaks the stereotype it doesnt change how they look at US-- they just go "OH , HE"S DIFFERENT"


The same way racists can cheer for a all black football team, but separate that from still ghating blacks (cough BAMA OLE MISS cough)

Racism isn't rare. I see it in every aspect of life. When i see perfume/cologne commercials or movies with the same white lead with a 5 o clock shadow for my entire life, when i head over to any high end neighborhood and see only whites and some asians, when i see the ownership of almost every successful organization being white, when i notice the stereotypes and fetishizations associated with blacks. Blacks are infinitely marginalized in society, all those years of dehumanization we've suffered has left us at a huge disadvantage both in society and in the image portrayed of us. when you're a dude like will and you sold out to hollywood in order to gain your spot i can see how you may forget this.

The only people in society who walk around with a clean slate and are judged only by who they are and how they carry themselves are whites. Everyone else has racist stereotypes working against them and blacks have it the worst. Half of will's work plays to stereotypes.

Isn't their term for what you wrote. Selective racism I think. I remember when I was living in Miami with the ND and Alabama chip was there. I remember telling some white dude from Alabama that was bragging about their football team. I was like that is the only time you talk to black people right? When the season is over you go back to your hick ways. He didn't take that so well. Truth hurts.

Nah, Im all in at this point. I know too much now. Had you asked me this 5-6 years ago, Ida said HELL YEAH. But I've done too much research and Im too far in now. I wouldnt be able to sleep at night while being on some type shyt. It'd be difficult to get through the days.

Although, I don't think every celebrity who doesnt for black people is a c00n. Like I don't think Will Smith is a c00n at all, and to call him that undermines everything he has done. By that logic, then Clarence Thomas isn't a c00n either then. Let's not forget, Will Smith ultimately owes his success to hip hop and the black community that created and cultivated it to be the vehicle that got him to Hollywood. He came up in the late 80's and pretty much everybody was racially conscious back then. PE was probably the most popular group during Will's peak. Jazzy and Will were the first rappers to win a Grammy but they boycotted the show/award(due to not being televised) out of respect for the culture and community. Fresh Prince from the 80's wouldn't have said what Will Smith Mr. Hollywood says.

I don't give a fukk about him working hard or marrying a black woman. He's a c00n. He sold out. It's is what it is.

His kids aren't getting it from him, they've both made very clear statements regarding racism and prejudice in today's society, as well as their love for natural hair and being alternative.
In fact Willow has made numerous posts on Tumblr about it.

I disagree.
I've had Neo-Nazi's pull a gun on myself and my friends.
I've had goofy white racists yelling n!gger and spic while we're walking home as they drive by.

Not to mention the many ignorant comments and beliefs I've heard stated from people that were/are my peers that aren't black or hell
even from black people looking to gain their favor. I've had enough racist encounters to cement my beliefs about America, Race and how far
we haven't come.
