i am in.....i will never get why people hate on slavery movies...they act like a bunch get made, but there are a maximum of 25 slavery over the last 30-40 years and when it comes to noteworthy movies its even less. why is it jews get to make 15 movies A YEAR on their genocide which lasted 7 years, but when it comes to telling black genocide that lasted over 300 years then its a problem.

Some of us don’t enjoy consuming trauma porn. I don’t begrudge anyone who still enjoys these type of films but I’m over it at this point. I understand new generations need to hear and see these stories though. Not sure why you brought Jewish people into this.

They don’t make 15 holocaust movies a year. Even if they did SO WHAT??? Why do we have to do what they do? They have enough positive images of themselves in film. Half our movies are of us struggling, being violent, and living dysfunctional lives. The rest are slave and civil rights films, white savior films, and a few decent non race centered films. I’d like to see more films that have nothing to do race, and the leads are black. Give me a heterosexual black family, with an attractive, physically fit wife, and kids.

White folks are the majority of consumers when it comes to black music and movies in America. Screw what a cac do....12 years a slave was a movie based on a REAL brotha who had to go through a real life nightmare and still made it out of slavery and back to his family.
