He (allegedly) dropped one of the worst albums in recent memory without a label.

Will's previous success was based on him being a label guy. That is flooding radio, TV, having priority to hits and producers etc. He's not reaching the new generation of his previous target audience by moving like this so it floppng was kinda simple mathematics. That would be through getting viral shyt on TikTok with challenges etc.

I listened, it wasn't nearly as bad as some are saying.

The intro is one of the best songs he's ever made. Funk, honest kinda raw. Easily my favorite "Will Smith" song now. The rest ranges from meh ro awful. He needs to figure out his direction and most importantly PAY FOR SOME GOOD BEATS. This nikka way too rich to be rapping g over that bullshyt. He can afford samples so get some ill people to make him some good tracks. At least 3 or 4 of these songs would easily pass if he wasn't rapping over some bullshyt.

Not surprised

No one is trying to listen to a will smith album or even a dr dre/snoop album or any of older rappers albums today .. just how shyt is

But good for them to continue to make music and at least stay motivated at doing music
Em went platinum last year with 200k in pure sales. Will and Snoop didn't have good singles. Snoop should of pushed the sting song as the lead single.

Em didn't have good singles and his album is considered trash by most critics. :mjlol:

If u think Will, Nas, Ice Cube and other older dudes going to go gold in this era u a blind fool

Just be glad they are making music that u might relate to, but don’t expect even half of KDot or Drake sells or streams

Em is the exception and probably somewhat snoop

dre and snoop had the atmosphere to successfully pull it off. the play was set up for them nicely. not a chart topper... but a charter nonetheless

they jus shat their pants with horrible music with the spotlight directly on them ...

Eminem's latest pushed just over a million and that was with heavy airplay of Houdini and going hard with the Shady stuff so I think he's finally hit the end of his run as far as being able to move units. Would be curious to see how Jay-Z would do with one more album, but other than that it's over as far as sales/units for my Larry Holmes brethren.
