The difference between the two isn't significant enough to give up Bradley + a potential top 3 pick in a deep draft plus more

fukk that
Ideally, you wouldn't have to give up Bradley + the pick AND another player. But, none of your auxiliary pieces would really be enough to couple with Bradley and feel like Chicago didn't get hustled. So the pick would a substitute at least not necessarily part of a 3-piece offer.

Amir? No.
Olynyk? Interesting since he's basically a 7'0" SF but no.
Crowder? Probably but Ainge is stingy and honestly I'd want Butler + Crowder at 2 & 3 myself if I was Ainge.
Brown? Possibly but Ainge is stingy.
None of your other guards will work because Chicago has enough subpar shooting in their backcourt.

The only other player is Horford which would defeat the purpose of acquiring someone like Butler. So the 2018 pick is gonna be inquired about, which is what happened 3 momths ago and why yall couldnt land PG13.

As long as Ainge waits for another Billy King to come along and let him screw him over on the trade market yall gonna be in this same spot. Which is better than most per se but not the pedigree Boston is used to (titles).

So yall could keep the pick but you would be betting on an 11-man roster of solid pieces wearing down Bron and the Cavs at some point which likely won't happen while IT + Horford are in their primes together.

Truth be told, whether they keep the pick or trade depends on how well they play against the Cavs. If it goes 6, then they add an extra piece or hope that Brown develops further. If they lose in like 5, then they'll draft a PG.

49ers..Braves..Celtics
I agree.

I think Bradley is fine...

It's upgrading the crowder and Amir spots in the starting lineup that we need

Go after Hayward, he can make more money in Utah but that's only looking at it contract wise. He'd make up the difference in endorsements in the Boston area, he'd be loved, a great white hope for the town lol. Real shyt tho, Boston is a better city than being out in utah and he'd be reunited with Stevens

That's the way to go and based on the Stevens-Hayward connection I'd be shocked if a deal has already been worked out behind the scenes

I think the Celtics know if they have a legit shot at Hayward

How much better is butler than Bradley?

The timeline of those Nets picks don't match up with the Celtics best players. :hubie:

If you don't get Hayward, Celtics should move this pick for Butler, if the plan is to win with IT. IT likely only has 2-3 additional years at this level, while some of your core players are due for raises next year(IT, Smart, Bradley). After moving Fultz for Butler, trade Jaylen Brown for Dwight, then trade your 2018 Celtics pick(not the Nets one) for KOQ.

IT/Smart
Bradley
Butler/Crowder
Al
Dwight/KOQ

That team has equal or greater the offensive firepower of the Cavs while having depth and defense. Celtics just can't wait for Bron to fall off while keeping this core, because you'll likely be capped out soon, not too mention next year's draft is projected to be worse.

They're trying to rebuild while being competitive

You have your core of Isaiah Horford crowder Bradley but you also have brown fultz zizic yabu rozier smart that are all young to maintain being competitive for the short and long term

agree, i want to see how they play against cleveland before even thinking about trading or keeping the #1 pick.

celtics got alot of pull here going into the offseason with the draft picks and cap, i never thought about them trading for dwight though :jbhmm:

I do that shyt in 2k all the time :russ:
Get some picks, have a star or two, then I keep acquiring cheap young players to put around my 2-3 high salary players. Maybe this 2k shyt works for Ainge, it'd be dope and funny to see it pan out. :ehh:
