Just read FAHs post...makes sense now...has the ruling class had any outside help?

Like Egypt, the USA is all in with the Ethiopian government

Hundreds of millions in military and economic aid per year.

China is also heavily involved in infrastructure and exploring for resources like oil.

The US has repeatedly talked about democracy to the Tigray elites. But the proof is in the pudding the last 25 years. Meles Zenawi was the PM most of those years.

@2Quik4UHoes

You in contact with your Amhara brehs?

I know everyone is ok.

That's what makes all of this so stupid to begin with. Very few people can claim ethnic purity, I myself am Amhara, Eritrean, and Oromo. It's a rock and a hard place, one the one hand the infrastructure development and investments are helping the country. But that help isn't coming quick enough plus the govt is corrupt. The issue is that since so much of the opposition has been jailed there's no real cohesive program with regards to the steps they would take to improve things in the ways this govt hasn't.

I just hope that this is a real change and not one murderous dictator for another. :ld:
You don't. I do. Ethiopia is a geopolitical rival. All's fair in love and war my friend :ehh:

How European of you. :ehh:

This is a pretty dazzling display of ignorance.

:ufdup: Warriya...Ethiopia imploding wont make Somalia any more stable..If anything the opposite is far more likely...it will spill over

You know what's funny. Historical every time Somalis invaded Ethiopia you Buffons ran off for Europe for help. That wasn't Somalia. And it already did with Ethiopia in our borders and invading our lands in 2006. I don't forget shyt. I love Ethiopian culture and people. But politics with me is :demonic:

Just break up the country and let all the major ethnic groups have their own piece of land...Simple.

If you don't want to identify as Ethiopian, then what's the point of having an Ethiopia? Europe got broken up into small countries and now there is more peace over there...

Thats *Buffoons* (Oh the irony of misspelling that)

:ehh: Im not Ethiopian and if the Invasion youre referring to is Siad Barres ill fated excursion in the 70s it would be wise to remember that Barre had alot of help previously from the soviet union in terms of Arms and training to build up what at the time was one of Africas best Armies

and he lost alot of it and destroyed morale then it was all downhill from there
