?lakers fans should hope the team tanks, kobe sits the entire year, and all cap space is cleared and get ready to make a big free agent push in 2014.

kobe will get them the 7 or 8 seed
If Nash and Gasol are healthy i expect them to barely make or barely miss the playoffs.
The thing is Lakers front office will not sign any other worthy free agents now because they wanna save the cap space for 2014 so dont expect them to even try to sign people that would make this roster competitive UNLESS said player is only taking a 1 year deal.
All they are gonna do is the same shyt they did back in '97. Hope they can lure someone else's superstar player in free agency or trade. Thing is no player who wants to be a superstar will want to play with Kobe still calling (or trying to call) the shots. I dont see Carmelo willing to take a backseat to a 35 y/o Kobe. Lebron wouldnt either.
Essentially Lakers will need to distance themselves from Kobe to land any superstar worth his salt UNLESS Kobe faces the fact that he is no longer IT and takes a reduced as a CLEAR 2nd option. THAT, gentlemen, is NOT happening.

Pathetic that one of the all times greats pretty much had his career ended...by being run into the ground by a pathetic coach...fighting for the 8th seed in the playoffs...
