The only way a great black heavyweight comes into the fold is if he is the son of a former boxer. Black heavyweights like Tyson, Holyfield, and Ali were great overall athletes. Black athletes of the same athlete caliber prefer to play football nowadays.

why wouldn't they; football is so easy compared to boxing

I know a few niccas in the NFL that always had time to get puzzy, drink, smoke bud 2-3 times a week, and take breaks in the off season, and still put in enough work to make it to the league and flourish

How many breaks you think floyd mayweather took from 5-18 to slack off and stop training :shaq:

Pretty much. Boxing is at the bottom of the totem pole for elite Black athletes these days.

Seth Mitchell and Bryant Jennings the only hopes we have right about now. Mitchell is further along and he's been moved properly. He got good power, chin, killer instinct, heart, and his ability to recover is pretty good too. He just gotta tighten up the skills a bit

So the Klitchkos hold it for right now and it's over huh...

Throw all that cultural analysis in the bushes...

It wasn't over after Rocky Marciano, was it. Floyd Patterson came along. Then Sonny Liston. Then Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Spinx, Holmes (lol), Tyson ....

Boxing is alive and well at the grassroots, believe me. Right now some fat kid is knocking every kid brave enough to step in the ring with him out.
