Mitchell and Jennings are already mentioned. Then you got nikkas over in the UK like Lennox Lewis. They dont play a bunch of other sports over there. Boxing is big there.

With all the negative attention football is getting with the concussion issue, I expect the sport to lose talent in the future to other sports.

that boxing is dying shyt is a myth...it's just far easier for a kid to pick up a football/basketball and use his natural ability, than it is to practice a craft such as boxing.

as long as there are poor people, people from fukked up situations and jails/hoods/trailer parks... you're gonna have people who are gonna knuckle up and box

You gotta remember boxing isn't promoted like other sports too. There's mad dudes who would want to take a crack at it but can't get the opportunity because there's no gym's nearby. Boxing gyms don't last that long down here. I've seen them open and close within the span of a couple years and you have mad pro fighters who train down in Florida. shyt like that is always kept on the low though. It's not like Cali and Vegas where you have open workouts you can drop by and see. nikkas don't promote shyt with boxing. That's what hurt it the most. Berto had that Carlos Quintana fight like 10 minutes from my house and nobody showed up for that shyt lol. Lotta these boxers don't care about the sport itself. They just want that big HBO/Showtime check and keep it moving.
