At this point, yes because Democrats are clueless about how politics works. You can't just be anti-Trump, you need to rely behind a message of your own, and they need to be grooming an inspiring, charismatic candidate, which I don't really see. If I were Democratic leadership I'd get behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and push her to the forefront. Dems have the numbers to win, it's all about turnout. If Dem base is excited, they win. If not, like in 2016, they lose.
