I think they give him another year, at least.

They are still on probation right now, iirc. Limit on schollys and that should factor in, imo. No one took that into account when they were made preseason number one and what not.

Nah, they are feeling the effect of the scholarship ban right now...look at the stanford game and how they got gassed as it went along and were beat up because of a lack of depth.....they're gonna give Kiffin the benefit of the doubt...and imo...they should.

I think it's the exact opposite. Even under Carroll, USC underperformed in games where they were supposed to win (that's why you saw loses to a then abysmal Oregon State/UCLA/Stanford teams in 2006-2009) and that seems to continue with Kiffin. They step up in big games.

oh i agree as far as GAMES they step up but I just meant overall when the expectations at the beginning of the season are through the roof. your last sentence is the reason why i'd be shocked if they didn't beat either Oregon or ND.

Oregons strength is their pass defense and fast offensive plays

Lee and woods will struggle to get open down field nothing but little screens which oregons fast lb will chew up

USC d will be flabby and sick early not beig able to keep up with the pace
