alot of serious scientists, inventors, and engineers believe we are the generation that might be able to overcome death.......by 2045 computers will be billions of times more intelligent than the entire human race we will merge with those superintelligent AIs and become Gods

legitimate theory

there are many people who argue we shouldn't create super intelligent AIs for this very reason

however the counter has always been that it won't be a them vs. us scenario.....that while we're creating these super intelligent computers we'll also be augmenting our own intelligence.....thus becoming part machine part human and not really ever being surpassed by the pure AIs because we would augment ourselves to keep up

I don't think having non-organic parts will change your perception of who you are. If it did, then how come all the people with artificial heart valves haven't been taken over?
